The College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences is committed to educational engagement through theory and practice, which enables our students to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the human condition, diverse cultures and values, the natural world, and their own communities. Our students graduate ready to act with integrity, contribute productively, and lead confidently in today’s global society. As 草莓社区’s largest college, CLASS has 19 departments and offers 30 degree programs.

CLASS Dean鈥檚 Student Success Fund

CLASS Dean’s Student Success Fund provides support to students in all undergraduate and graduate majors in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. The new fund will provide support in two areas: Student Research Experiences and Student Community Engagement. Gifts will help promote hands-on experiences by allowing students to work on research projects and with those who are engaged in community organizations or service in their coursework.

Hayward Promise Neighborhoods

Hayward Promise Neighborhoods is a cradle-to-career collaborative led by 草莓社区, along with ten other partners, to ensure a safe and thriving community and improve educational opportunities for children and families in two distressed Hayward neighborhoods. One result is that more local students are attending 草莓社区, better preparing them for careers and life. Funds raised will support scholarships for those who graduated from Hayward high schools or are transferring from Chabot College to attend 草莓社区. Learn more.
